Yellowknife, here I come!

I'm flying up tomorrow morning to take part in the Northern Music Conference -

I'll be speaking on a panel about touring and then showcasing at Javaroma on Saturday.

On Sunday, I have the privilege of getting to play at the Snow King Festival alongside some fantastic musicians.

(And of course, I'll make a trip to one of the best Salvation Army thrift stores in the country before flying home on Tuesday.)

Song Harvest: One Week Later

"Song Harvest Volume One" has been released for one week now and the support has been amazing.

Thank you SO MUCH for the kind words.

I didn't know what to expect releasing an album like this. I have never made myself more vulnerable and for you to respond to this album has been unreal. I feel like this is a pivotal moment in my life and you all play a role in it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Want to host a house concert?

House concerts are the best.

I had a great time performing at a house concert in Edmonton this weekend. Lovely crowd. Good laughs.

If you would like to host a house concert, please send me an email at lilgingierecords (at)

I just need a power source and space for 20 to 25 people! And it doesn't have to cost you anything to host a house concert if you charge a ticket price. Easy and super fun.

Yeay live music!

Focus Saskatchewan

In case you missed the episode, you can watch my appearance on Focus Saskatchewan online.

Big thank you to Raquel Fletcher for coming all the way out to Palmer to talk about "Song Harvest Volume One", the Palmer Church, and my music.

Edmonton Love

House Concerts!!! They are my favourite and this place in particular is just beautiful. Mike Hudema is hosting a concert in Edmonton tomorrow and if you would like to attend please get your tickets -
And the Edmonton love continues with a review of "Song Harvest Volume One" by New Music Michael ...
"And then, just when you don’t think you could love this album any more, she throws on the afterburners, finishing the album with the song “Wait”, which changes things up by going much deeper into the electric side, with grit and fuzz to match."

Deer Head

Deer Head

this song was written late at night in the Palmer Church

heavy heart

feeling foolish for thinking things would be different

feeling foolish for feeling at all

envious of the taxidermy that hangs neutral

unwavered by matters of the heart

it left it's heart behind years ago

Blair Colwell - Swamp-Life

I put my trust in a bottle and I gave it to the Atlantic seven years ago

So I never had any to put in you which is only good news since you’re saying good bye

I wish I could be a stranger and pass you on the street with nothing but blank eyes

I wish I could be the mannequin, the one that our reflections in, as we’re walking by

You don’t want you know me x 4

I left a part of me, maybe just the empathy, on the side of the broken highway 43

Being cold isn’t hard to do when you favour bad news, when you favour bad news

I wish I could be the statue, the one where the moss grew, outside of your high school

I wish I could be the deer head, hanging on the wall instead of hanging on to you

You don’t want you know me x 8
